It boasts the remains of the largest regal gardens in China.

Changchun
The capital city of Jilin province, Changchun was also the capital of the former state of Manchukuo (1932-45). During this period the city was rebuilt along modern lines. Many of the large administrative buildings have been converted into universities. Changchun, meaning "long springtime," is also a center for motion picture production.

Chongqing
An independent prefecture in southwest China, Chongqing, known for its unique and spicy cuisine, sits atop two hills over looking the meeting of two rivers. It was once a treaty port and remains an important industrial city to this day.

Dalian
Dalian has the largest harbour in the north-east and is one of the most prosperous cities in China. Crisscrossed by old, colorful trams, the city exhibits some wonderful architecture and has refreshing acres of grass and lawns. Next to the sea, the weather in Dalian is much warmer than in the other areas of Liaoning, with the summer months particularly pleasant.
