Jilin City, one of 30 largest cities in China, is located on the Songhua Lake at the end of the Changbai Mountain Range. Despite its industrial nature, it is known for its winter scenery. Each winter, the trees along the Songhua river become covered with rime and hoar frost, transforming them into an unusual tourist attraction.
