The hundred-year-old Liuzhuang Manor, now called Hangzhou Xihu State Guest Hotel, is situated at the west of the West Lake. With hill on one side, the lake surrounds the manor on three sides. This is real Chinese style 5 star hotel! Located in a very picturesque Chinese style garden, atmosphere is very peaceful and relaxing. Location convenient to get to Lonjing tea area, Lingyin Temple and other places in the western part of Hangzhou. Just takes some time to get to downtown, but those extra 10 min and 10-15 RMB worth it. Staff speaks limited English, but they are very freindly and helpful. We liked their Chinese food more than Western. |
