The Yangguang Da Sha (Sunshine Plaza) in Lanzhou is a really wonderful hotel. The staff is friendly and accomodating, the business center staff particularly excellent, and the rooms very tastefully furinished. Indeed, the Yangguang Dasha incorporates a number of small features that many of the world's best hotels would wise to imitate. First, it provides free broadband internet in each room, with a convenient box on the desk that allows one to plug in a broadband internet cable or simply pull out a retractable RJ-45 cable. Second, the room keys are convenient RFID tags so that you don't need to swipe to enter the room, but merely hold the key card near the lock. Third, the hotel's restaurants and recretational facilities are extremely vast and very convenient (as well as open very late). The bathroom is well designed, the lighting system in the room easy to use, and the furnishings both tasteful and comfortable. A very nice place to stay. |
